Sammy Sosa: The biography with updated stats.

The next home run Sosa hits will be a milestone.

May 23, 2000 -- Homerless since May 10, Sammy Sosa has been stalled just shy of a milestone for almost two weeks.

The next home run Sosa hits will be the 350th of his career, making him the 57th player in major-league history to
reach that number. Sosa is currently batting .328 with 13 home runs and 45 RBI's.

Tuesday night is the beginning of a three game series at  Colorado's Coors field versus the Rockies. Sosa will have the perfect opportunity to break the 13-day drought in that home run friendly park.

Sammy Sosa has 13 home runs at Coors Field, his highest total outside Wrigley Field. The Cubs have 71 homers in 45 games at Coors, a pace that would break their 1998 record of 212 in one season.

Sosa's 129 home runs during the past two seasons have turned him into an international sensation but have hardly helped the Cubs, who finished 67-95 in 1999, last in the NL Central.
