Boxing legend, Roberto Duran returns to the ring! 

Legendary Panamanian boxer, Roberto "Manos De Piedras"  Duran returns to the ring to fight Pat Lawlor for the NBA (North American Boxing Assoc.) world title in Panama City, Panama in a 10 rounds match.  Lawlor is very familiar with to Duran because he TKOed him in six rounds back in 1991.

Roberto Duran, 49, announced that the fight in take place on June 16 at the Panama Gymnasium.

The Panamanian legend began boxing in 1967, winning his first title at lightweight in 1972 and was recently named one of the ten greatest boxers of the twentieth century along with Sugar Ray Robinson, Muhammad Alí, Henry Armstrong, Joe Luis, Willie Dep, Henry Leonard, Billy Conn and Harry Greg.  

Roberto "Manos de Piedras" Duran is trying to set a world record as the only man to ever fight in five consecutive decades spanning two millenniums. 

Duran has been through many wars during his illustrious career, but he knows that at his age he cannot push his body to the ways of the past, "no puedo exigirle mucho a mi cuerpo", Duran said during a press conference while describing his workouts at the  popular gym of San Miguelito.

Despite Duran being very focus and eager to fight Lawlor, many of his family and close friends have mentioned to Duran that he should consider retirement. Duran insists that he will not retire yet and even mentioned his desire to fight his long-time rival Sugar Ray Leonard to a rematch, "I'm ready for him, but I don't know if he's ready for me...Leonard has the last word," Duran conceded.
