May 1, 2003 -- Luis Ramón "Yori Boy" Campas knows that this is his last shot of winning a world title and says he will put all his heart into defeating the reining super welterweight champion, Oscar De La Hoya.

"What will happen if I beat him?" said Campas during a public workout in San Diego. "I've trained really hard and I think he (De La Hoya) is overlooking me."

De La Hoya who is the WBA & WBC world super welterweight champion signed a lucrative deal for a rematch with Shane Mosely in September. Campas feels that De La Hoya is not focused on his upcoming match and is looking ahead to September's fight.

"De La Hoya is making a mistake overlooking me and signing a contract before fighting even fighting me" said Campas. "I will assure him that he will be surprised when we step into the ring."

Campas has been in a swirl of controversy recently when he sipped  a native  potion which was given to him by  a  shaman who is a high priest in the Zacapoaxtla Indian tribe.

Campas said he immediately  felt  "super  strong" and is  ready  to  get  into  the  ring against De  La  Hoya and beat  the Golden Boy. "The  first thing you  feel  is  power," Campas  said.  "Power  and  confidence.  You  feel  very  strong.  I'd  like  to  get De  La  Hoya into  the  ring  right  now,  this  very  moment."

The  potion  is claimed to be the  same given to the  brave Indian warriors,  almost  150 years  ago,  who defeated  the  French army  in  1862 at  the Battle of Puebla, in  which  the natives routed the French using  only  wooden  spears  and machetes.

"I'm going to win, I have trained very hard and I'm going to surprise everyone," said Campas in Spanish. "I haven't felt so motivated since I faced, Puerto Rican Felix Trinidad.

Oscar De La Hoya is set to receive $8 million for his Saturday fight with Luis "Yory Boy" Campas at the
Mandalay Bay Events Center, while Campas gets $100,000.
